Homefront: Don't remember that much
about it? Refresh your memory by reading on and checking out our photos page.
Homefront was a drama that aired on ABC from
1991-1993. While it only lasted two seasons before being canceled, it had a large following of people who loved
it, and still do. That's why we have made this website.
Set at the end of WWII, the pilot episode begins with families preparing for
the return of their soldiers who are coming home from the war. The series continues with what
life was like for people at that time. The men who returned from war are trying to fit back into their lives again,
and the women are having to quit their jobs and go to work back in the home. The show dealt
with issues of the day such as racism, feminism, union strikes, and acceptable social ettiquette. It
was a time when everything was changing.
This show should not have been taken off the air, but unfortunately it was.
Now we are trying to get it released on DVD so that we can start enjoying it again. Right now Homefront
is currently not airing on any network, however I have made a request to Netflix to add Homefront to their watch
instantly portion of their site so that it is again available to the masses. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out
